Do You Believe in Horoscopes?

I was feeling really hyper the other night (big surprise!) so I looked into my horoscope a bit. According to Huffington Post,

“You Geminis are curious, talkative, versatile and mentally active. Your mind can bounce around from one topic to another with great ease, making Gemini the champion of cocktail party chatter and lighthearted social encounters. Others will think that Gemini are fun to be with, but your ability to change with the changing winds can also lead others to see Gemini as shallow.” 

The post also says that Geminis are natural thinkers and good communicators. It also talks about a bunch of other stuff that I don’t want to bore you with (unless you’re a Gemini and you’re hanging on every word!).

The “mentally active” and “thinkers” part is so true to me — I over-analyze everything, even the tiniest details about my life. I even call myself out on being ridiculous when I’m nervous about something unnecessary. I know it’s stupid to spazz out but I can’t shake it sometimes. My mind is everywhere all the time and I’m very detail-oriented. My brain doesn’t shut off at night…which is why I (sometimes) have trouble falling asleep.

However, I’m never one to blame my “Type A” personality (or sleep issues) on being a Gemini. I think that’s just who I am. I’ve always been a perfectionist and gravitated towards set plans and ironed-out details. Even in the fifth grade I was nervous about my Princess Diana presentation not going perfectly (even though I was wearing a Princess Diana Beanie Baby shirt over my school uniform).  Now don’t get the idea that I can’t stray away from a plan — I’m totally flexible! Things can change instantly and I’m usually pretty good about rolling with the punches.

To be honest, I have no idea where the heck I’m going with this post or what point I’m trying to make. Overall I’d say being a Gemini is pretty great! Who doesn’t want to be social and chatty?
